An associate of the firm, Betty Ann Rogers focuses her practice in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice and civil litigation. She brings to her clients and the firm fourteen years of experience and myriad professional accomplishments. Prior to practicing law, Ms. Rogers was a well-known broadcast journalist at WICC in Bridgeport and Cablevision News 12. Ms. Rogers has a successful track-record both in the courtroom and settling cases prior to trial, and she has recovered millions and millions of dollars for her clients. As a litigator, Ms. Rogers has represented plaintiffs with serious and life threatening injuries, disfigurements and permanent disabilities resulting from malpractice, automobile accidents and other forms of negligence. Ms. Rogers was also a major player, along with Fred Ury, in a large jury verdict against Allstate Insurance Company for bad faith insurance practices. Ms. Rogers has a fervent belief in our civil justice system and she has earned a reputation as a zealous advocate for her clients, both in and out of the courtroom. A 1990 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Bridgeport School of Law and 1976 graduate of Fairfield University, Ms. Rogers was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 1991. Ms. Rogers is the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in Trial Practice, Evidence, Civil Procedure, Family Law, Trusts & Estates and also of the Kristen Ann Carveth Memorial Book Award in Family Law. She is an active member of the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association, Litigation Section, co-chair of the Medical-Legal Section of the GBBA, Connecticut Bar Association, Continuing Legal Education Member, Connecticut Trial Lawyer's Association and co-chair of the Women's Caucus of the Connecticut Trial Lawyer's Association. She has presented the seminar, "The Art and Science of Bringing and Defending a Personal Injury Claim" before the CT Bar Association in 2002, 2003, and 2005. Since 2000, Ms. Rogers has also acted as a court appointed fact finder/arbitrator for the Connecticut Superior Court.
